FAQ
AirFanta 3Pro is designed with a compact form factor comprising of four High Efficiency filters and four powerful 140 mm computer fans. This allows it to move a high volume of air through the filters faster than other room air purifiers, while maintaining a good balance with noise levels and power consumption.
You can find this information on the specifications page.
The number of units you should buy and use depends on the size of the room(s). Generally speaking, we recommend targeting at least 6 ACH (air changes per hour) for homes and offices (NEA recommends 5 to 7 ACH), though the higher the number, the cleaner the air. Assuming you have three rooms with a height of 2.6 m that are between 10 m² to 20 m² each, buying 1 unit per room and setting the speed to setting 3 (for reference, the highest speed is setting 6) will provide between 8 to 16 ACH per room.
For more information on calculating air changes per hour, please check out free calculator or read our article here.
As for other types of premises such as restaurants, schools, and clinics, we recommend following the ASHRAE 241 standard.

Yes. Testing from an independent laboratory showed that AirFanta 3Pro (standard: T/GDAR 0001-2020, test report: KY202300057) removed 99.99% of the H1N1 influenza virus.
As for SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19), based on findings from multiple studies, there is strong evidence that the virus resides in exhaled aerosols in the 1 to 5 microns range. AirFanta’s filters can remove 99.4% to 100% of viral aerosols in this range.
Our findings from both H1N1 and SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19) should also apply to other kinds of airborne viruses as well, as the size of viral aerosols exhaled from an infectious person doesn’t change much regardless of the type of virus.
Yes.
The High Efficiency filters can capture harmful particles from haze and wildfire smoke, however they cannot capture harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds) that may reside in them, and they cannot remove the haze or wildfire smell. In addition, the filters may have to be replaced sooner compared to High Efficiency + Activated Carbon filters, which are more efficient at capturing denser haze particles.
If you need filters that capture VOCs, remove smells, and last longer during haze season, you should go for the High Efficiency + Activated Carbon filter option.
No, it does not emit ozone, ions, or UV. Please be careful of products that emit ozone or ions as they can produce air pollutants and pose a health risk to humans and animals. People with respiratory conditions such as asthma are strongly advised to stay away from such appliances.
Yes, but you will need find a way to connect the DC port to the power bank.
The High Efficiency filters should be replaced every 6 to 12 months, and the High Efficiency + Activated Carbon filters should be replaced every 4 to 8 months. When replacing filters, replace all four filters at the same time. One set of replacement filters comes with four filters.
The filter lifespan largely depends on environmental conditions. For example, you may need to replace it more often when using it under environmental conditions such as haze or wildfire smoke. Visually inspect the condition of the filter (if it looks black or appears to be full of dust, it should be replaced!) if you are unsure. Filtration efficiency and air cleaning performance will be reduced when the filters are dirty.
That depends on what your needs are.
The High Efficiency filters are capable of filtering many different types of pollutants, such as viruses, dust, mold, pollen, allergens, smoke, haze, pet dander, and PM2.5.
The High Efficiency + Activated Carbon filters are capable of filtering everything that High Efficiency filters can capture, as well as pollutants such as formaldehyde (chemical associated with new paint smell), VOCs (volatile organic compounds, haze smell, cigaratte smell, cooking fumes, odors, and chemical gas.
Generally speaking, the High Efficiency filters are sufficient for most use cases, but if you are trying to reduce a smell or odor, you should go for the High Efficiency + Activated Carbon option.
Also, keep in mind that you can purchase both types of filter replacements and switch between them anytime.
The outward-facing side of every High Efficiency filter / High Efficiency + Activated Carbon filter has black grills (wire-mesh netting) attached to it to prevent children and pets from touching the filter material.
While not necessary to do so, you can gently wipe away dust that appears on the black grills with a cloth or towel. If the filter material itself seems to be black or appears to be full of dust, you will have to replace it.
Yes, but you should use the laminar air purifier away from the AirFanta 3Pro. This is because the turbulent airflow from the AirFanta 3Pro could interfere with the laminar airflow of the laminar air purifier and reduce protection.
Yes. Make sure that the plug you are using is able to support the AirFanta 3Pro’s watt/voltage requirements.
Yes. This will ensure that the air in the room is constantly cleaned at all times.
Yes. Local warranty lasting 1 year is included with this product. You can also purchase extended warranty for a peace of mind.
